Spiritual Obesity

Spiritual Obesity: taking in but not giving out; sitting in church every Sunday and soaking it in without truly seeking service to God; higher expectation for action placed upon one’s church than upon one’s self.

The eventual result of spiritual obesity:

The Dead Sea

The Jordan River is the only major water source flowing into the Dead Sea, although there are small perennial springs under and around the Dead Sea, forming pools and quicksand pits along the edges. There are no outlet streams. The Dead Sea is roughly 8.6 times saltier than the ocean making for a harsh environment in which animals cannot flourish (hence its name). The high salinity prevents macroscopic aquatic organisms such as fish and aquatic plants from living in it.

1 John 3:18  Little children, let us not love merely in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Count Your Blessings – Frequently

“Content” – in a state of peaceful happiness –  a state of satisfaction.

Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
