The Substance of Obedience

True obedience is to obey without knowing why and to believe without visual proof. Instead, our obedience to God and our faith in Him must be based on spiritual truth that we allow our minds to receive and our hearts to accept.
John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Disaster or Revival?

Many people have wondered and many theologians have tried to figure out – Where is America in end-times biblical prophecy? I have yet to see a supposed reference that is anything but tenuous at best. This has led some to believe that America is not referenced in end-times scripture because it will be destroyed by some kind of war or natural disaster. (People often tend to project the worst case scenarios into the unknown)

However, what if America is not referenced in end-times scripture because it will experience a tremendous national spiritual revival, leading to most of its population being raptured before the events described in end-times scripture? This could cause America to withdraw from much of its activity in the global community, causing it to become a virtual non-participant in the worlds affairs.

With this as a possibility, we could be praying for revival with hearts filled with hope for the future of our country rather than speculating possible disasters.

Is this scriptural?

Colossians 3

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Philippians 4

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
